Actions, a new iPhone GTD todo list manager

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

For the past few months a new partner at Ghost Park Software and I have been working hard on a new GTD app for the iPhone called Actions. We think it’s great and it’s now ready for beta testing. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Really fast startup and navigation, even with a very large set of actions.
  • Very nice support for the GTD method
  • Simple and easy to use. You don’t need to be a GTD expert to use it.

Because of limitations set by Apple we can only invite a limited number of beta testers. If you are interested in participating send an email to . Please include your 40 character Iphone identifier (UDID). You can find it in iTunes when your iPhone is connected if you click on the Serial Number label in the Summary screen.

Each tester that finds a serious bug will receive a free copy of Actions when it is released.

More information about Actions to follow soon…

Printing support in version 1.0b17

Friday, January 26th, 2007

The eagerly awaited feature printing has finally been implemented in Ghost Action 1.0b17. Currently all incomplete actions are printed grouped per context.

Below are two sample printouts:

The printouts can be printed with different page formats and different font size. I would expect the printouts will be most useful when printing to smaller formats such as index cards or with several print pages per sheet.

The printout to the right have been printed with a different page format (using Page Setup…) and with fewer lines per page. The lines per page setting can be changed in the print dialog under the special “Ghost Action” setting.

This should be seen as the first version of the printing support. Please experiment, give me your feedback, and tell me what I can improve.

Ghost Action 1.0b11

Sunday, December 17th, 2006

I have released a new beta with the expiry date moved to 10th of January. Also the application size has been reduced from 9.2 Mb to 3.9 Mb.

I’m near a 1.0 release, but I don’t want to make a 1.0 release just before Christmas, since I will be away and might not be able to give immediate support in case something goes wrong. I think all major bugs have been resolved now, but there are some minor issues left, and I few improvements I would like to make.

I have actually been experimenting with a redesign of parts of the user interface which I hope will be a big improvement. So stay tuned for the next few updates.
