Version 1.0b5 released

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006

The only change compared to 1.0b4 is that the expiration date has been moved to Dec 6. I’m working on 1.0, but I don’t feel it’s good enough for release yet. Be patient, and keep sending me your suggestions!

Some of you have been asking about the price, it will be $19.95.

Version 1.0b4 of Ghost Action has been released

Tuesday, November 7th, 2006

The major improvement compared to 1.0b3 is that it will expire on the 22th instead of the 8th November :-) I will spend some extra time on 1.0 compared to my original plan, in the mean-time you can continue to use Ghost Action for free for two more weeks.

Bug fixes:

  • Deleting a calendar in iCal with a to do would cause Ghost Action to crash when synchronizing.
  • The “Actions” menu item in the “Window” was disabled and didn’t work.

Other changes:

  • The “Save” menu item has been removed since saving is done automatically when needed.

This beta (preliminary) version can be used for free until Nov 22. As with all beta versions, there might be some rough edges, so don’t use it with data you can’t afford to lose.

Ghost Action 1.0b3, a Mac GTD tool, released

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

Version 1.0b3 of Ghost Action has been released. The new release contains a number of bug fixes and stability improvements and is a recommended download for all users.

This is a beta (prelimary) version that you can use for free until Nov 8. As with all beta versions, there might be some rough edges, so don’t use it with data you can’t afford to lose.

Ghost Action is a new to do list manager that helps you keep track of what you need to do using the Getting Things Done method.

Ghost Action, a new Getting Things Done (GTD) application for Mac OS X, released today

Wednesday, October 18th, 2006

Ghost Action is basically a glorified to do list application, customized for ease of use with the GTD method. I have been using GTD since 2001 and noticed the lack of good applications suitable for this method. So in 2006 I founded Ghost Park Software to develop a high quality GTD application for the Mac.

Features:

  • Group actions according to project or context
  • Synchronize with any iSync compatible device such as a PDA or a phone
  • Both contexts and projects are synchronized
  • Smooth synchronization with iCal and .Mac using Sync Services
  • Developed for Mac only
  • Attractive and easy to use Cocoa user interface
  • Full keyboard navigation

Ghost Action will be especially suited for people synchronizing their GTD information to a handheld device, such as a Palm or Pocket PC PDA or a Smart Phone.

Starting today, a free beta version (0.7 Mb) is available for download. Further information can be found at Ghostpark Software. Feedback can be given on this blog, or at the support page.
